My colleagues like to have different kind of diy workshop during lunch hour, and my colleague Joanne taught us how to make use of the foam board to do a foam board printing. I found its really fun and easy, and the printed work always turn out with surprise, so i want to blog about it.
Material:
Steps:
1. Cut the foam board and black paper into a postcard size.
2. Use a sharp pencil or pen to draw directly on the foam board, dont worry if you can’t draw a smooth line, coz its fun to have unexpected result. You can see I try to draw simple shape with rough line.
3. Pick the color you like and fill the drawing with poster color without dipping water, coz the poster color is better to apply on the high density foam board without watery. I use orange, blue, white color to draw on the shape and panda, then use gold color to draw on the background. (If you want to draw alphabet, please remember to reverse the alphabet)
4. Place a black paper on the foam board and use your hands or object to roll or press a bit until the color apply to the black paper. I use the same foam board to print lot of different color combination, it was fun and love the result.
Tips: I love the brush stroke after print, so try to use those cheap and rough brush when you color the foam board with poster color.
That is super cute and fun. I love printmaking.
