DIY – use shrink paper to make hard plastic objects

Before I start, let me introduce the material.
Material:
1. *Shrink paper (you can buy it at art supply store)
2. permanent oil pen or markers (the color u like)
3. scissors
4. cutter

*There are two types of shrink paper, white and transparent, and i use white paper here.

Step 1 - Prepare a shrink paper
Step 1: Prepare a shrink paper, i bought a pack of white shrink paper, 3 papers in A4 size. After I experimented today, i found the best result is to use permanent oil pen to draw.

Step 2 - Draw and Cut (shrink paper)
Step 2: Draw on the shrink paper, then cut the shape.
Remember colors intensify, become brighter, more solid, deeper after the shrink paper shrinked. Thus, a think layer of color is enough.
Punch hole if necessary before placing in the pre-heat oven (130-150 degrees).

Step 3: When you put them in the oven, the plastic curls and continues to shrink. After 1-2 minutes it will completely lay flat, remove from the oven and let it cool.

The shrink result:
I found it shrinks about 5 times of the original size(when it is still in shrink paper format), so when you draw on the shrink paper, you have to consider about it and draw in a larger size.

you can see they became hard plastic and with thickness.

They can be a keyholder or the objects used in the board games.
